Agent Fresco have entered the studio to record their first full-length album, "A Long Time Listening". The album has been in the making since the band started back in 2008. The album is engineered by Magnús Øder and Þórarinn Guðnason, produced by Magnús Øder and Agent Fresco.
"Without going too much into details, this record is a personal journal which goes through personal experiences, from loss to celebrations, all told throughout the course of a day, exposed in lyrics and compositions. The album will consists of 15 songs, each single song, such as the lyrics, has its own theme and that individual theme connects through the overall themes of the album. What we want to do with our music, is to create as personal music as possible, where simplicity walks with complexity. This album is a dedication to life." says singer, Arnór Dan Arnarson.
Agent Fresco have signed with Record Records for the release of the album in Iceland. Estimated release date is in October 2010.
New music video from Bloodgroup

Bloodgroup has released a new music video for the latest single of their album Dry Land. The material used in the video was recorded at the release concert in Reykjavik, Iceland last March. Both video and audio was recorded and the plan was to release a DVD later on and update Bloodgroups press kit. But since old buildings and powerful bands don't always hold in hands the electricity at the venue shut down in the middle of the show. Due to that, the audio recorder erased all audio recorded before the powerloss. So it was decided to use the video from the show to cut a new music video for the latest single and we're happy to show you the results!

We held a concert at Venue, Reykjavik last wednesday were Bloodgroup, Sykur, Lada Sport and For a Minor Reflection were playing. The place was packed and people went mental when Bloodgroup started playing the song Safety Dance by Men Without Hats. It was legendary!

Our lovely Lára has released her first video from her album “Surprise”, released in october 2009 on Record Records. The video is for the fourth single from the album, “I wanna be”.
The video was directed by Henry Bateman and produced by Aðalbjörg Ósk Gunnarsdóttir.

Our lovely singer/songwriter Lára will be heading to the UK to support Amy MacDonald on a private Q magazine gig this summer. A small tour will be planned around the dates so stay tuned for more information.
Lára will be playing a gig in Reykjavik on tuesday where she will premiere the video for her latest single, I wanna be, the video was directed by Henry Bateman.

The nominees for the Icelandic music awards have been announced. It is a great pleasure to announce that two Record Records artists are nominated for this years awards. Sykur are nominated in the Newcomer of the year category but Bloodgroup are nominated for This heart in the best song category and for Dry Land in the best pop album category.
The Icelandic music awards will be held in the Icelandic Opera on March 13th 2010.

The Icelandic music blog, Rjóminn.is, revealed a list of the best Icelandic albums of 2009 in the readers opinion, Dry Land with Bloodgroup was voted the best Icelandic album of 2009! Also readers appreciated the SYKUR album, they got 3rd-4th place.
The Icelandic newspaper Fréttablaðið voted Dry Land as the 4th best album of 2009 but the newspaper Morgunblaðið put it in 1st place!
We are very proud of Bloodgroup !

Today Morgunbladid newspaper released a review of Sykur's debut album. The writer gives Frábært eða frábært 4 out of 5 stars and says the album unique and full of cool dance music.

On april 24th, Record Records will release the debut album from Foreign Monkeys.
The album has been named π (PI).
This great album has been in the making for almost 2 years! It was recorded and produced by Magnus Øder, best known for his amazing work with Lay Low and Benny Crespo's Gang.
The first single from this album, Love Song, received great airplay on Icelandic radio stations and got to the top 20 on the X-dominos chart.
Foreign Monkeys was formed in december 2005, in 2006 they won the Icelandic battle of the bands, since then they have played plenty of gigs, such as warming up for Badly Drawn Boy, Elbow, Echo And The Bunnymen and more in Laugardalshollin in Iceland.
